Cosmetic Conditions

Cosmetic Conditions

The team at Spackman Dental can provide cosmetic treatments such as dermal fillers and injectables to address the following skin conditions:

  • Fine Lines & Wrinkles

Caused by the natural breakdown of collagen and elastin in the skin plus years of exposure to the harmful UV rays from the sun, fine lines will often develop around the eyes and mouth in your thirties.

  • Aging Skin

Due to the natural separation of collagen in the skin, many people in their 40s begin to notice aging skin on the face and hands.

  • Heavy or Dropped Eyebrows

Eyebrows can lose elasticity surrounding the upper eyelid as we age, leaving the brows appearing heavy and dropped.

  • Frown Lines

Caused by the natural aging process, the dermis, known as the inner layer of the skin, thins and divides cells, as a result, both the elastin and skin fibres loosen, causing the skin to lose elasticity. Smoking and sun damage may also cause frown lines.

  • Crow's Feet

Factors such as aging, sun exposure, smoking, and frequent squinting can promote the formation of crow's feet around the eyes in your mid-thirties.

  • Forehead Wrinkles

Your genes combined with aging, and environmental factors such as sun exposure, may cause forehead wrinkles to appear in your mid-thirties.

TMJ Disorder

TMJ Disorder (or TMD) is caused by issues with the temporomandibular muscles in your jaw and face that lead to tightness and loss of proper function. If you are experiencing jaw pain, our team may be able to help with treatment methods geared to your unique needs.
